Week 08 :: Sack lunch & study
MTC 1/9/2019, 10:32 PM
Minasan konnichiwa!
These past two weeks us shimai tachi (sisters) found a room in one of the older classroom buildings and been doing language study with each other every chance we get. It’s to the point that we don't eat in the cafeteria anymore, instead we get sack lunch/breakfast, and eat while we study in there.
Maiki San: Were slowly making progress, our language has been improving though! We still are having a hard time trying to know what her needs are and helping her understand what we teach her. She doesn't usually have questions for us, but this recent visit we had she had a question about what happens after we die. I'm super stoked for this next lesson.
Iwagi San: We taught him about Joseph Smith (in Japanese). English was only for that one time haha. It was pretty good, next time were teaching him about the Book of Mormon and are going to include a baptism invitation!
We got a fresh group of missionaries in our district this past week. Its great not being the new ones anymore, we still don’t know what we’re doing though aha. We were especially excited to get the sisters and I was afraid we freaked them out by smothering them with attention...but I think they actually liked it. Jokes jokes, we didn't smother them that much, but were all super tight now. Another reason why I'm sad to leave the MTC :,(
Something I've been thinking about lately is chapter 26 of Alma particularity verse 11&12.
11 Ammon said unto him: I do not boast in my own strength, nor in my own wisdom; but behold, my joy is full, yea, my heart is brim with joy, and I will rejoice in my God.
12 Yea, I know that I am nothing; as to my strength I am weak; therefore I will not boast of myself, but I will boast of my God, for in his strength I can do all things; yea, behold, many mighty miracles we have wrought in this land, for which we will praise his name forever.
Last but not least it’s my beautiful mommas birthday today!🎉
For those of you who don't know, my mom is truly an amazing woman and example to me. Fun facts about her: I'm her favorite oldest daughter/second oldest child, she served in the Spain Barcelona Mission, loves animals, I used to think she was a witch when I was little, and she is the healthiest person I know. If you see my mom give her lots of love because she deserves it❤
I know everything I have is from God, all the progress and success we’ve been able to have is because of him!
