Week 07 :: I’m happy, healthy, working hard and feeling the spirit 😊

Happy New Year everyone!!🎉❤️
Can you believe I’ve been in the MTC since last year?! So crazy. Today is my 50th day being here, I have 19 more to go until JAPAN!
Random fun fact: I saw my friend Asia Gillette in the temple this morning! She’s coming into the MTC next week and will be serving in Romania speaking Hungarian. ALSO, my teacher (Poelman Shimai) got engaged!
Iwagi San:
He followed through with our commitment and went to church🙌 Iwagi San really enjoyed it, he didn’t know what was going on but everyone was so nice to him and he seemed so happy when we met with him. We invited him to continue to go. Because of my class/messed up holiday schedule situation we were given the option to teach Iwagi San in English. It was such a blessing, We were able to communicate with him so much better and taught him about the restoration/apostasy/dispensations/prophets and are going to teach him about Joseph Smith and the BOM for our next lesson.
Tsukamoto San:
She started to read the BOM as we committed her to do which is good. She has a hard time understanding it so we explained what the BOM was and how it can apply to her.
Maiki San:
On Thursday last week we were assigned our first non-member TRC (she’s a real non member person we are teaching, not acting as one). She is the second youngest of four siblings who are all from Osaka, Japan. While her family is living in Japan she’s here in America so she can learn English. Maiki first started taking lessons from the missionaries when she was in Japan, and has continued to do so here in Utah. She also has a part-time cleaning job here at the MTC. I love her so much, I want to be able to help her come closer to the Savior. It’s kind of hard because I can’t understand what she says to us. Thankfully my companion is better at understanding than me, yet we still spend half the time trying to translate what she’s saying. She speaks pretty good English, but I feel like thats cheating if we rely on that haha. Anyways, I’m very thankful for this, my love for her and this gospel motivates me to work harder to learn the language!
I’m short on time so I’m gonna leave at this. Just know that I’m happy, healthy, working hard, and feeling the spirit 😊
